the professionals

This picture is my favorite because it pretty much sums up our entire time getting her pictures taken...it is amazing to me how the can capture those few brief seconds where she wasn't crying to reaching for me. This was much easier last year.

It's begining to feel a lot like Christmas.....

SNOW!!!
Now I know I've been in Kentucky for the past two years and haven't seen very much snow, but I was not expecting snow like this until at least Christmas. I am not complaining. Lilly was very interested in it, and since she was just standing at the sliding glass door crying to go out on to the porch we decided to get bundled up and head to the park and check out the snow. It was cold but she loved it!

It is a little hard to pick up a snowball with mittens on!

Fright Night Food Drive and a mouse..

This year instead of just going trick or treating for candy, Tom took the youth group trick or treating for canned goods. For it being our first year doing this in hummelstown, it went amazingly well, we collected a bunch of canned goods, and had some very good costumes. I of course think Lilly's was by far the best, or at least the cutest.

1st annual pumpkin caving contest

Being such a big helper

Lilly with her boyfriend Shannon...Shannon was the first person in the youth group to pick her up and since then she has been in love. She also is very enamored with his older sister Alex.
The crew and the goods

Fall

An assortment of pictures of our precious Lilly from this fall:

Her new favorite seat...she loves to sit still and read books, sometimes for more than 5 minutes

Her temporary ball pit box

I refinished our kitchen table and chairs and Lilly had to get in on the sanding action..plus it was a lot of fun to dance and run on the table!

Trip to Paulus Farms: (a wonderful place for children in the fall)

You can never have too many paci's

Maybe just a little big??

Taking a ride through the enchanted forest with Jordyn and Sadie

For whatever reason Lilly has decided on of her favorite places to chill is in the bathroom...hopefully this will mean easy potty training.

Well we now know where our nose is, which means we can also pick it!

Settling In

We are back in PA and finally have a place to live in Hummelstown. We are just about settled in and starting to enjoy the area.
Checking out the creek - we are lucky enough to have a beautiful trail that goes on for miles with-in walking distance of our new apartment. we are all enjoying it very much, lilly especially loves the duck pond and creek...although these do not prompt her to squeal (a loud ear-piercing noise) with delight like a dog or any moving animal that comes across her path.
Enjoying the PSU football game with daddy
Hiding out in her room...this chair has now been moved to the living room where it has become the best place for lilly to climb up on and read her books for extended lengths of time (umm, maybe 5 mins)
Doing the hair

I'll give you one guess to who put the diaper on!

Lilly is now talking...
buh..bille -bible (it would only figure that this would be one of her first words...all that seminary knowledge)
buy..by - bye-bye
hyiii - hi
dank..tu - thank you (which she uses appropriately all the time)
dadaaa - da da (this is also usually a high pitch squeal to try and get toms attention)

While she maybe very polite one of her other favorite things to do is shack her head no vigorously while doing something she knows she is not suppose to do....making it very hard for me to not smile while disciplining her....tom just laughs

Much needed Vacation

After all the craziness with moving back to PA we crammed into my parents car and headed to Letchworth State Park in NY. The trip was wonderful...it was good to just get away from all the chaos of our lives, relax and experience God's beautiful and amazing creation. We saw some of the most magificant waterfalls....I highly recommend a visit to Letchworth State Park for those
who have never been there. Here are just a few pics from the trip...ENJOY!

<------ Lilly found her very first toad...daddy helped her hold it...luckily for the toad she did not squeeze it to death.

Middle Falls

Trip to the pool..very nice just a little cold

<-----Yumm, spaghetti...i'm not sure if she got more in her mouth or more on her

and the bath after ------>

Lower Falls

Upper Falls

During our vacation we were able to visit a few hours with Tom's brothers family. Lilly loved playing with her cousins

someone wanted to push the stroller all by herself

Niagara Falls -- only 1 1/2hr. away

so much more fun than drinking from a cup

couldn't miss the opportunity to wrestle on Canadian soil

such a big helper (way more enjoyable than sitting in the stroller)

Lilly provided the entertainment as we waited for the lights

A trip to the Corning museum of Glass than back home again. I recommend making a trip if your in the area...the museum was quite neat.
